Funder policies

Many research funding organizations are taking keen interest on data policies, and require Data Management Plans (DMP) as part of research grant applications. Furthermore, they may explicitly recommend or require Open Access publishing and Open Science data publishing as condition of funding.

Requires that data are stored and made available through major national or international archives or storage services that are important in the fields concerned. The degrees of data openness may justifiably vary, ranging from fully open to strictly confidential.
Svenska Litteratursällskapet i Finland x   x   Research publications, including monographs, must be made openly available through either Gold Open Access (publishing in OA journals) or Green Open Access (archiving a copy in an institutional or other openly available repository).
